ff Venture Capital Fellows Program

ff Venture Capital Fellows Program gives undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to work with many different venture capital companies during the summer in New York City. Interns will have a chance to learn how startup companies begin and operate. Students majoring in a technical field are preferred. The paid internship consists of two programs, the ff Technical Fellows and the ff Acceleration Fellows program. The ff Technical Fellows program matches each student with one startup company to work with on engineering projects that solve problems. The ff Acceleration Fellows program enables interns to work side-by-side with ff Venture Capital executives to help identify other startup companies.

National Urban League Summer Internship Program

The National Urban League Summer Internship Program is for students interested in a career in the non-profit industry. The program provides an 8-week paid internship for college students in either New York City or Washington, D.C. Students must have a grade point average of 2.8 or above. They can major in any discipline. They must have a strong interest in the National Urban League and also demonstrate leadership skills through past extracurricular activities or community service.

SHPE Foundation Scholar-Internship Programs

SHPE Foundation Scholar-Internship Programs offer both a summer internship at a research facility AND a scholarship for the fall and spring semesters for Hispanic students. Students must be pursuing degrees in the areas of science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Two different scholar-internship programs are available. The SHPE/CDM program is for students majoring in engineering, science or construction and can include chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, geotechnical, water resources, mechanical, and structural engineering, environmental systems, environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, geography and computer science. This program is offered in partnership with CDM Smith, a leading water, environment, transportation, energy and facilities firm.

General Motors Internships offer opportunities for college students to use their classroom skills in a real work environment. Internships are available in the areas of communications, finance, information technology, marketing, engineering, manufacturing, health and safety. Students receive competitive pay and are exposed to hands-on company projects. From developing budgets and health and safety processes, to working on labor relations, researching industry and consumer trends and new product development, students receive challenging experiences in the automotive industry.

UNCF/NAACP Gateway to Leadership Internship Program

The Gateway to Leadership Program is a 10-week paid summer internship for undergraduate students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This program offers finance majors an opportunity to work with major financial organizations during the internship. The program is open to college juniors with a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Accepted majors include business, finance, economics, banking or accounting. Students must be enrolled at a historically black college or university. Benefits include competitive pay, on-the-job training with a top financial firm, competitive exercises in financial management, and valuable networking opportunities.
