Institute for Women’s Policy Research Internships are offered in the summer and year round in four areas: Research, Communications and Outreach, Development, and Accounting. College students of all majors and at all levels may apply. Internships are 10 weeks during the summer, and summer interns work full-time (40 hours/week) and receive a stipend. Schedules are flexible but generally run from early June to August. Interns will learn much about the non-profit sector, develop professional skills, and gain insight by working on policy research on various issues that address women’s economic needs.

The Wendy Williams Show Internship Program offers an opportunity for college students to gain experience in the television industry. This internship is for college credit and is located in New York City. Candidates for this internships must be at least 18 years old. Ideal candidates will be those pursuing careers in television production. This is a professional internship opportunity for qualified candidates. Applicants must have good communication and organizational skills and a desire to learn more about television production.

The OWN Internship Program is a 10-week paid and for-credit learning experience at the Oprah Winfrey Network television channel. Internships are for current undergraduate or graduate college students. Applicants must have completed at least their sophomore year in college before applying. They must also have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. All interns must be able to work 15 hours or more per week and receive college credit for the internship. Interns receive hands-on training, challenging project work, and networking opportunities.

ANNpower Vital Voices Leadership Forum provides a unique opportunity for 50 young women who are high school sophomores and juniors to attend a leadership forum in Washington, D.C. The forum is for women only who demonstrate leadership qualities through volunteer work and contributions to their communities. Every year, three women are selected to attend a three-day leadership training and mentorship program in Washington, DC. They also receive up to $2,500 in grant money to help them start their dream projects within their own communities.

NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship offers an opportunity for a minority, female college student to be chosen for a unique two-year internship program. The program will focus primarily on compliance, athletic communications and special events for The Rensselaer Athletics Department and its intercollegiate varsity programs. This internship is for a student who has experience in communications and media relations in a sports environment. The intern will be part of a senior leadership team with responsibility for media relations, website maintenance, pre- and post-game interviews, and more to support the Athletic Communication team.
