Office of Inspector General Student Volunteer Internship Program

Office of Inspector General Student Volunteer Internship Program is a non-paid internship for college students in the Office of Inspector General. This office is under the supervision of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In order to apply, candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a GPA of 3.0 or above. All candidates will be subjected to a background check. Students must be able to work 10 hours per week for 8 consecutive weeks.

The United States Marshals Service Internship

The United States Marshals Service Internship is offered to college students in their junior or senior year who are majoring in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, and Political Science. The internship is unpaid. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above and must be full-time students attending a four-year, accredited college or university. Interns will work in any one of the following departments: General Operations, Investigations, Seized Assets, Judicial Security or Management. It is a great opportunity for students to gain experience and learn the functions of the U.S. Marshals Service.

DIRECTV Internships

Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Internships are held every summer for 12 weeks. These paid internships pair students with experienced professionals and also provides opportunities for networking and career exploring. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. They must also have at least one term of school remaining after the internship program ends.

FBI Internships

Internships with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are for college students interested in a career in law enforcement and technology. Positions may be located at FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. or in any one of several FBI field offices. Currently, the FBI offers a Volunteer Internship Program which is an unpaid internship for undergraduate students, graduates or post-doctorate students. This internship is generally offered in the summer from June to August and gives students an opportunity to explore career options with the FBI. Interns will work with experienced FBI employees on cases and gain valuable insight into how the Bureau operates.
