Principal Financial has summer internships that provide current students with in-depth training with a six- to nine-month extended internship in various fields of interest. Internships include a competitive hourly rate, a housing allowance and opportunities for scholarships.

Summer interns will learn from senior managers and be assigned a mentor. After completing a successful internship, interns may be invited to join the company's 3-year Leadership Development Program (LDP) that teaches next generation leaders the ins and outs of a global financial services company.

Interns also enjoy free parking, social and recreational activities, fitness facilities and the opportunity to explore explore trails and lakes, local wineries and breweries, world-class music, theater and a thriving foodie scene in Des Moines, Iowa.
