Kennedy Center Institute for Arts Management Internships and Jobs
The Kennedy Center Institute for Arts Management is now taking applications for winter/spring internships. Internships may be available in advertising, development, local and national education programs, National Symphony Orchestra, press relations, production, programming, technology, volunteer management, and finance.

The internship is open to current college juniors or seniors, students working on their Master's degree, or students who have graduated from college within the past two years. It is a 16-week unpaid internship for students interested in gaining experience in the performing arts industry. Students work 20-40 per week at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. In addition, they will be able to attend various performances at the Kennedy Center.

The Kennedy Center opened in 1971 and is a leader in performing arts and arts management education. The center has produced performances in theater and musicals, dance and ballet, music and multimedia performances. It is responsible for affiliate organizations such as the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera.

In 2010, the center was renamed the DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the Kennedy Center. The DeVos Foundation financial commitment of $22.5 million enabled them to offer arts management training at the center for students and arts leaders around the world. The programs teach financial management, marketing, fundraising and other critical areas in the management of performing arts.

The location is usually in DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
