The Intern Pocket Guide: Get the Best Out of Your Internship

Internships offer students an excellent opportunity to gain practical, on-the-job experience in their field. They receive supervision throughout their internship to ensure that gain the most benefit from their experience. Students may perform a variety of activities, such as assisting with art exhibitions, designing and writing content for web sites, working on projects for the Library of Congress, or working on budgets, grants and contracts.

Internships are offered in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The internship program was named after James. E. Webb, former Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). It's goal is to increase opportunities for minorities within non-profit organizations in the areas of science and culture.
