ANNpower Vital Voices Leadership Forum
ANNpower Vital Voices Leadership Forum provides a unique opportunity for 50 young women who are high school sophomores and juniors to attend a leadership forum in Washington, D.C.

The forum is for women only who demonstrate leadership qualities through volunteer work and contributions to their communities. Every year, three women are selected to attend a three-day leadership training and mentorship program in Washington, DC. They also receive up to $2,500 in grant money to help them start their dream projects within their own communities.


The purpose of the forum is to teach young women how to be leaders and make a difference in their communities. The forum teaches them how to increase their leadership skills, and then gives them a chance to test their skills on a funded project. Projects can include encouraging young girls to enter STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) career fields, supporting girls who want to enter the field of politics, or any other project that will foster positive social change.

The three-day leadership training and mentoring program is offered by ANNpower Vital Voices Initiative, supported by ANN INC. who owns women's retail fashion stores Ann Taylor and LOFT, and by Vital Voices, a global leadership network of women working to transfer lives and communities by training women and girls to become emerging women leaders.
