This job involves assisting a music teacher in implementing a comprehensive music curriculum, gradually progressing to lead and teach a class or grade level. The responsibilities include supporting school-wide concerts, managing student behavior, recording progress, maintaining the music classroom, and participating in professional development. The internship requires a minimum of 10 hours per week for approximately 12-14 weeks and a Bachelor's Degree in Music or a related field, with preferred qualifications including a Master's Degree and teaching experience. NYCDOE PETS security clearance may be required.
