This job description is for an Internment/Resettlement Specialist role within the Army National Guard. The position involves supervising confinement and detention operations, ensuring external security of facilities, providing counseling to prisoners, and maintaining records. Skills learned include military laws, self-defense, interpersonal communication, and custody procedures. Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with benefits such as paid training, a monthly paycheck, and tuition assistance. Requirements include being between the ages of 17 and 35, meeting physical and moral standards, and citizenship eligibility.
