This job opportunity at MTS Systems Corporation is for a Transducer Engineering Intern for the summer of 2024. The role involves calibrating a 6 DOF load cell mounted on a K&C rig, with a focus on eliminating mechanical interference, increasing force capacity, and improving geometric uncertainty. The responsibilities include requirements generation, concept generation, CAD layout, stress and deflection analysis, and uncertainty analysis. The qualifications sought are rising senior or first-year Masters students in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with a focus on machine design or solid mechanics, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
