Wildlife Prairie Park Internships offer paid, summer work opportunities for college students who love working outdoors. Internships are paid and also offer housing.

Summer internships give students an opportunity to work with a variety of education animals (birds of prey, reptiles, and small mammals) during their internship program. Interns work 40 hours a week minimum, from May - August. Interns are also responsible for assisting staff with programming, events, home school, summer programming, boy scouts/girl scouts merit badge days and day camps.

Two Naturalist/Education Summer Intern positions are available. Candidates must be enrolled in college or a recent graduate in a related field of science (education, parks and rec, animal science, biology, environmental science, agriculture).

Wildlife Prairie Park is located in Hanna City, Illinois. It was founded by attorney William Rutherford and officially opened to the public in 1978. The park welcomes nearly 140,000 annual visitors. It is considered one of the Midwest’s leading destinations with visitors from across the globe.
