Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden Internships
Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden Internships are open to undergraduate and graduate college students. Applicants should have 15 semester hours of art history, arts management, or equivalent academic preparation
Candidates for summer internships must have a grade point average of 3.25 for undergraduates and 3.5 for graduate students. They do not have to major in art history. Internships are offered in the following departments: Arts and Programs, Exhibition and Design, Collection Management (includes photography and conservation), and External Affairs (communications, media relations, web design).
To apply, students need to submit a completed application, along with academic transcripts, a personal essay, and two letters of reference. While most summer internships are unpaid, some are paid, such as the Conservation, Pre-program Internship in Modern & Contemporary Art.
