Wilson Center Internships

Wilson Center Internships are offered to current, recent, or returning college students. Two different internship programs are available, and each one has its own separate application and deadlines.

Summer internships are available, as well as internships in the Spring and Summer. Research Assistant Interns work as research assistants or scholar interns for visiting scholars. They work about 15-20 hours per week. Research assistant internships are best suited for college students planning to continue on into graduate studies, or for college students who want gain a deeper understanding of their field of study.

Staff Assistant Internships are also available and typically last 3-4 months. Assignments might include: organizing conferences; library and Internet research; helping to prepare publications and/or outreach materials; and/or administrative assignments that support of Center activities.

The Wilson Center is a center where scholars and experts research topics of national and international relevance. Established in 1968, it is a United States Presidential Memorial that was established as part of the Smithsonian Institution by an act of Congress. It is also a highly recognized think tank that is ranked among the top ten in the world. Wilson Center summer internships give students the opportunity to develop both research and professional skills.

The location is usually in WASHINGTON D.C.
