IAESTE, the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience, offers paid internships across the globe for college students who are studying in technical fields. Positions are offered in more than 80 countries around the world.
Candidates may major in many technical fields, including engineering, agriculture, computer science, architecture, science, mathematics, and other technical fields. Interns receive a stipend that covers at least the cost of living in their host city, as well as housing accommodations and assistance with visas and other necessary administrative services.
Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a technical field. They must be rising juniors or seniors by the time the internship begins; sophomores may also apply. They must be between the ages of 19-30. Candidates need only to be fluent in English; foreign language experience is not required.
IAESTE is a global organization established in 1948 and is administered by nonprofit organization, Cultural Vistas, which develops international professional experiences for college students pursuing careers in technology.
