Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Summer Internship Program is designed to help engineering and science students to gain valuable experience working on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.

The program is for undergraduate and graduate science and engineering (STEM) students at either the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) or the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL).

Internships run from May to August. Interns live in furnished, affordable housing; all utilities are paid. Students may apply online for an internship by completing an application and including a resume and grade transcript.

This internship is offered through The Southwestern Ohio Council on Higher Education (SOCHE). Other internships available include SOCHE's Student Research Program, and the SOCHE Intern Program for students in all disciplines that places them with internship positions in various corporate, non-profit, governmental, and small business settings.

SOCHE is a regional consortium of colleges, universities, and businesses advancing higher education through academic collaboration, corporate and community partnerships, and student success. They were founded in 1967 and are headquartered in Dayton, Ohio.
