Montgomery County Police Department Internship

Montgomery County Police Department Internship and Jobs
Montgomery County Police Department Internship offers a work experience program for high school students age 16 and older. Interns work side-by-side with trained officers, staff, and other employees across many areas of law enforcement.

The internship is a volunteer program; students must be able to work a minimum of eight hours per week or 6 months in the program. They will receive training in many areas, including communications, traffic laws, SWAT, forensics, homicide, narcotics, and more. The internship is designed to give students an opportunity to consider a career in law enforcement.

All applicants must be U.S. citizens or have a valid green card, be at least 16 years old, and pass a background check. Approximately 200 volunteers work for and are an important part of the Montgomery County Police Department.

The Montgomery County Police Department is located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and provides service and protection to the areas of Rockville, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Wheaton, Germantown and Montgomery Village.
