Smithsonian Institution Internships
Smithsonian Institution Internships are offered across a wide array of disciplines and departments. Internships are available for college juniors, seniors and graduate students. Students should have an interest in history and culture and the desire to work within a museum environment.
Some Smithsonian internships pay stipends and others do not. Stipends are given to help pay for living expenses during the internship. The amount varies according to the internship position.
Whether students are interested in art history, art, natural science, zoology, botany, space exploration, or corporate positions such as human resources, finance or public affairs, they will have many internships to choose from. There are also internships specifically for minority groups and those with disabilities.
Grade point averages, deadlines and locations vary by internship. Students interested may search for open positions and apply online.
