Macy's Internships

Macy's Internships provide college students an opportunity to test-drive a career in various positions within the retail industry. Internships are offered in store management, merchandising, product development, marketing, technology and store design.

Students must be college juniors before applying. Students interested in a career as a store buyer will work during the summer from Macy's New York offices. This internship focuses on skills necessary to become a buyer for more than 800 stores across the country. Other internship positions are located in San Francisco and include marketing, technology/software, and merchandising of products to improve customers satisfaction.


All internships are paid opportunities for 10 weeks during the summer break. Each internship has its own criteria for requirements. Students may apply online and check the website to see when Macy's recruiters will be on campus.

Macy's and Bloomingdale's are one of the largest retailers in the country with more than 850 stores.
