Georgia Governor Internships

Georgia Governor Internships
The office of the Governor of the State of Georgia offers a number of summer and fall internships for college juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students and law students. Openings are available in the Governor's Office, the Department of Natural Resources, Department of Economic Development, Department of Agriculture and more.

Two specific fall internships with June deadlines include the Department of Agriculture and the Department of State. The Department of Agriculture has positions open in Administration, Animal Industry, Food Safety, Fuel and Measures, Marketing, and Plant Industry. Interns will work 10-16 weeks at the downtown Atlanta office on projects relating to agriculture. This internship is for students whose major is in an area related to agriculture.

The Department of State internship is 18 weeks long with interns working an average of 20 hours per week, paid. Projects will be assigned according to the student's major field of study. Students are required to have a grade point average of 2.75 in order to apply.

All internships give students a great opportunity to experience the inner workings of a state government. In addition, they will develop valuable skills to prepare them for a career in public service.

The location is usually in GEORGIA.
