Children's National Medical Center Psychology Internship Program

Children's National Medical Center and Jobs
Children's National Medical Center offers a comprehensive internship program in child clinical and pediatric psychology to students currently enrolled in a pre-doctoral program in psychology.

Qualifying students must be currently attending the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and pursuing a doctoral degree in psychology.

The internship program is overseen by the Department of Medical Education and the Graduate Medical Education Committee of the medical staff. Students accepted into the internship program will participate in seminars and conferences that teach students development, psychopathology, clinical techniques, medical conditions, health care delivery systems, and research.

Each intern works with a faculty mentor who will guide the intern through their internship and provide valuable career and professional development. In addition, several supervisors across different staff areas will supervise their work 4-5 hours per week to round out their education and experience.

This internship is full-time and lasts for one year. The program is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association.

The location is usually in DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
