American Geophysical Union (AGU), a non-profit organization, is seeking current undergraduate or graduate college students, or recent graduates, to work as a summer intern in info sciences. Students applying may major in information science, library science, or a related field.

The internship is 11 weeks and located in Washington, D.C. Interns will be working on building a new web-based resource center for AGU's Association Management System (AMS) use that contains information on processes, tips, FAQ’s, meeting notes, and historical documents. In addition, they will support the daily operations of the AMS team.


Ideal candidates will have wiki experience, and good research, organizational and problem-solving capabilities. Interns will be responsible for analyzing and organizing large sources of information and designing it to be easily accessed and retrieved. Students applying must be comfortable working with large teams.

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) was founded in 1919 and is a non-profit organization chartered under the laws of the District of Columbia. The organization is dedicated to working with scientific organizations to support the geophysical sciences of Earth and Space.

The location is usually in DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
