American Alpine Club Internships

American Alpine Club Internships and JobsAmerican Alpine Club Internships currently has three internship areas open to college students interested in working in Golden, Colorado, with interest in the sport of climbing. Some positions are paid and others are for college credit only.

The Online Media Internship is an unpaid position for 20 hours per week for 4-6 months. This intern will work on online marketing and multimedia journalism. The Digital Collections Intern will be responsible for digital collections management, including writing user guides and caring for the audio and video files and artifacts. The Conservation & Advocacy Internship is a paid position that will be involved in the club's policy and grants programs.


The American Alpine Club (AAC) is a non-profit organization that serves the interests of people interested in climbing. The member-based organization is funded by membership fees, grants from corporations, non-profit organizations and private donors, and through funds received from the sale of publications and merchandise pertaining to the sport of climbing.

The organization gives $100,000 each year in grants and other support to climbinginitiatives and climbing advocates.

The location is usually in COLORADO.
