NextEra Energy Internships are available to college students interested in a career in the energy industry. Internships are offered in the areas of engineering, computer science and technology for qualified applicants.

Intern candidates must be enrolled full-time in a degree program at a four-year accredited college or university in the U.S. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above in order to apply. Internships take place during the summer and last 8-12 weeks.


Internships give students work experience with challenging projects. Students who successfully complete an internship increase their opportunities for a second internship or to be hired as a full-time employee following graduation.
