Nucor Internships are offered to college students pursuing careers in engineering. Both undergraduate and graduate college students may apply.

Interns will have the opportunity to work with more experienced engineers on projects that are important to the company. Interns are assigned a mentor who will supervise their internship experience but also allow them to learn by doing. Regular feedback will help interns increase their skill level and prepare for successful careers in engineering.


Projects assigned to interns can include designing, research and development, fabricating, control systems, quality control, and much more. Interns will not only learn more about the steel and iron industry, but they will also learn more about Nucor and its career opportunities.

Nucor Corporation is a steel and iron Fortune 150 company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company was established in 1940 and is the second largest steel producer in the United States.
