Duke Energy offers paid Internships to college students pursuing a career in the energy industry. Opportunities are available across many disciplines for motivated students with good academic records.

Eligible students include undergraduate and graduate students, and internship positions cover accounting and finance, engineering, information technology, and business administration. Applicants must be working toward a four-year degree or graduate/MBA degree. A grade point average of 3.0 or above is required.


Internships are generally offered during the summer. Eligible students must be attending an accredited college or university in the U.S. They must have excellent communication skills and a strong desire to pursue a career in the energy industry. Interns receive hands-on experience, pay, and an opportunity to become full-time employees of Duke Energy.
