3M Internships are open to college students who are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university. Students must be in their junior or senior year of college in order to apply.

Students need to have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Some positions may require the completion of courses before applying. Internships are available in the areas of business, finance, engineering, marketing, information technology, human resources, software, and more. Most positions begin in May or June each year.


Most positions are located in the U.S. but some international positions may also be available. Interested students are encouraged to search and apply for appropriate internships online. Required internship hours may vary by position.
