World Bank Internships are for full-time graduate students pursuing a Master's degree or PhD degree. Paid internship positions are offered in several different areas of study. The internships give students an opportunity to work for a global financial institution and pursue career opportunities while completing their education.

Students may major in economics, finance, human development, social science, agriculture, environment, private sector development, and other related fields. Internships are available in the Summer from June to September, and in the Winter from December to March. In addition to pay, interns receive a stipend for travel expenses.


Eligible students may submit their application online. Skills needed to apply include strong computer skills and fluency in English. It is also helpful to have other language skills, including French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, and Chinese.

The World Bank is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The World Bank works with global developing countries to provide them with financial and technical assistance. The assistance enables developing countries to improve education, health, and communications. Their goal is to foster more prosperity and end poverty in countries of need.

The location is usually in DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
