Department of Education Internships

Department of Education Internships
Department of Education Internships are available to students in high school as well as students currently attending college, graduate school, trade or technical college. The internship is designed for students with an interest in government and federal education policy and administration.

Several types of internships are available to meet the interests of many students. They include finance, communications, research, media, legislative affairs, legal and more. The internships are unpaid and offered in the Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer. Internships are 8-10 weeks in duration.

In addition to valuable work experience in their area of interest, students will receive benefits such as professional and career development and workshops. They will also be able to enjoy touring Washington, D.C. and participating in social events with other interns.

Why not apply for an externship and an internship?

To apply, students may submit a completed online application, along with a cover letter and resume. Students should be specific about their preferred area of interest in order to achieve the best results from their internship experience.
