WETA Public Broadcasting Internships
College students interested in a career in public broadcasting are invited to apply for a Fall, Spring or Summer internship with WETA. Undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates are eligible.
Internships are unpaid but may offer college credit. They are approximately three months in length and offer work experience in areas such as communications, corporate marketing, digital media, video production, multimedia web services, broadcasting and more. Students may choose an area of interest that fits into their career goals.
Interns receive hands-on work experience within their academic interests. They will become part of the department team, performing real assignments that will challenge their skills and give them practical experience.
Requirements will vary with each position. Work hours may also vary but are generally 15-40 hours per week. To apply, interns must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. If already graduated, it must be within 12 months of the start date for the internship.
WETA is a Washington D.C.-based public broadcasting station that provides programming on concerts, films, interviews, movies, orchestras, documentaries and other intellectual programming of interest to listeners and viewers in the nation's Capitol.
