InterAction Internships
InterAction Internships are open to college undergraduate or graduate students, or students who have recently graduated. These internships are for students interested in international humanitarian programs.
Students applying must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs and be willing to work 20 hours a week. Excellent written and verbal English skills are a must, along with computer skills, management skills and the ability to be flexible and complete tasks on time. Internship positions are available in the Office of the President, Humanitarian Policy & Practice team, Office of Information Technology, Membership & Standards team, Public Policy team, International Advocacy team, and the Communications team.
InterAction represents U.S.-based nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) around the world, working to establish peace and prosperity for the poor and vulnerable. The company offers internships three times a year to college students. Students must have at least three years of college completed before applying.
Students will experience first-hand how a global, non-profit organization operates. They will also learn much about major issues facing developing countries. Internships are unpaid but interns receive a transportation stipend of $50 per month.
The location is usually in DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
