Virginia Mason Franciscan Health offers a Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program with fully paid on-the-job training to become a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C). The year-long apprenticeship includes hands-on training, clinical experience, mentoring, and classroom/online education, all fully paid by Virginia Mason. Upon successful completion, apprentices are eligible to sit for the CCMA MA-C exam and must commit to an additional two years of employment with Virginia Mason. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, proficiency in English and computer skills, along with healthcare or customer service experience.
