The International Rescue Committee (IRC) aids those affected by conflict and disaster globally, offering vital assistance and fostering self-sufficiency. In Baltimore, the IRC assists over 2,500 immigrants and refugees annually, providing cultural orientation programs to facilitate their integration. The cultural orientation intern position involves teaching, program coordination, curriculum design, and assisting refugees in accessing essential services, with a focus on nutrition, legal matters, housing, and healthcare. The internship is unpaid but offers reimbursement for expenses and university credit options, requiring a commitment of at least 12 hours per week for ten weeks.
