Financial Representative Interns at Northwestern Mutual build a financial planning practice, work with experts and exclusive financial products, and aim to help clients achieve financial freedom. They prospect and network to build a client base, set meetings to understand clients' financial goals, and offer recommendations. Interns gain exposure to planning software, obtain insurance licenses, and participate in coaching and training. The program offers flexibility, support for certifications, access to leadership programs, and the potential for a full-time role upon graduation. Ideal candidates are full-time students, preferably juniors and seniors, with sales curiosity, coachability, and a strong work ethic, interested in financial literacy and planning tools, and business savvy.
