This job opportunity is for a Grain Inspector/Grader Apprenticeship with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The role involves inspecting, grading, and certifying grain products according to USDA standards. It requires physical demands such as standing, walking, and climbing, and the flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays. The candidate will need to acquire various licenses related to grain grading within specific timeframes and should have good teamwork and customer service skills, along with the ability to follow regulations and perform basic mathematical calculations. A high school diploma or GED is required, and relevant knowledge or experience is a plus.
