OppNet’s Career FluencyⓇ Partnerships program provides immersive, community-centered, capacity-building partnerships for institutions committed to supporting their students' post-secondary success and career development. Career FluencyⓇ Partners have included New York City Public Schools, the I Have a Dream” Foundation, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and FacebookThis position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the Partnerships Program at an exciting time by playing a critical role in the execution of a national initiative focus on modeling justice-driven systems change at the intersection of youth development and post-secondary readiness.We are looking for an exceptional Partnerships Program Intern to assist the OppNet Partnerships team in managing and developing components of the Career FluencyⓇ Partnerships program related to partnership development. In addition, the Partnerships Program Intern will play a supporting role in project management. This is a nine-month-long opportunity to be part of a team expanding an innovative program model that will impact thousands of students across the country.About YouThe ideal candidate will personally connect to our important work and value diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across the organization. The candidate will demonstrate DEI values by actively participating in all organization-wide learning sessions and self-reflection and working with others to enact changes that contribute to meeting OppNet’s DEI initiatives.What You Will Be DoingResearch & Reports (50%):Support the Assistant Director of Partnership Development in securing new partners by conducting research on value-aligned schools, community organizations, and professional networks.Conduct region-based landscape research and analysis, creating reports highlighting opportunities for meaningful impact.Systematize updates regarding legislation that may impact current and future partners and additional legislative priorities for OppNet alongside the Assistant Director of Partnerships & Advocacy, including maintaining, recording, and organizing information bi-monthly.Administrative Support (25%):Track and record updates related to Partnerships’ offerings, such as Convening event attendance and professional development workshop components.Provide administrative support, including updating records in Salesforce, Dropbox, and Google Drive.Assist with the continued development of new project management templates that lay the groundwork for innovative partnership models on Monday.com.Marketing & Outreach (20%):Support new partnership development by sending outreach emails to new prospects.Assist with developing marketing and outreach materials, including event-related promotional copy and content for social media platforms.Organizational Learning, Development, and Program Reflection (5%):Participate (optional) in organization-wide DEI learning sessions, equity working groups, and identity-based affinity groups.Attend weekly team meetings and monthly All Hands meetings; optional attendance at All Staff meetings, team retreats, and annual institution-wide retreats.Who we are looking forThis position requires availability for 15-20 hours during the week and a Bachelor’s degree. Itis a fully remote position.The ideal candidate will have these key assets and attributes:Strong skills using Google Suite and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/Sheets;Strong research skills and ability to synthesize findings;Strong database management and database administration skills;Experience with Salesforce and/or Gridbuddy is a plus;Experience with Monday.com or other project management software is a plus;Classroom or other youth development experience preferred;Demonstrated alignment with OppNet’s core values in diversity, equity, and inclusion;Strong written and verbal communication skills;Exceptional project management skills;Detail-oriented; can be counted on to produce high-quality work;Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and driven in innovative spaces;Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision;High degree of effectiveness and efficiency;Marketing experience and/or basic design skills are a plus.Requirements to Work for OppNetOppNet requires that all employees are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including new hires unless an exemption has been approved.
