Job Description Providing local development support for ECU Development for Rack & Pinion EPS Gears and/or internal projects, assist on a variety of electrical and environmental tests on the ECU and Power Pack, build and manage the required material for the tests and for the department to connect the ECU such as harnesses, test boxes, splices, etc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assembly and disassembly of prototype ECUs and Power Pack into steering gears. Modification of prototype ECUs. Performing functional testing on prototypes. Analysis of defective units and test results to determine cause of failure. Assembly of Wire harness and test boxes required to connect the ECU with the testing equipment as well as for development. Reads test schedule, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used. Support Test/Validation tasks.
