Gap Medics Pre-Health Internships Abroad offers hospital-based medical internship shadowing programs abroad to students from all over the world. Programs are available for high school students age 16-17, and for students 18 years old or older.

Applicants should have a strong interest in pursuing a health-related career. Internship areas include medicine, nursery, midwifery, physician assistant, and dentistry. The internship program allows students to intern abroad and be right in the heart of an international hospital or clinic to observe real work with real patients. Summer internships and internships offered throughout the year run from 2-4 weeks or longer.

Destinations vary with each internship but can include countries such as Dominican Republic; Warsaw, Poland; Thailand; and Croatia. Each intern is assigned a mentor who will guide them throughout their internship experience. Summer internships are available as well as internship opportunities throughout the year.

Gap Medics is a specialist company dedicated to providing year-round hospital work experience placements abroad to students 16 years and over. The company was established in 2005 and is based in England.
