Southern Company Internships (Paid) offers spring and summer internships for college students across many disciplines. These are paid internships which also include a housing stipend for students moving more than 50 miles from their place of residence.

Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, or can also be a recent graduate. Internship hours are flexible, with interns working 20-40 hours per week. Positions are offered in the areas of accounting, finance, marketing, engineering, design, graphic design, and more.

Interns work at the Energy Innovation Center, located in Atlanta's Technology Square. Candidates should have strong knowledge of MS Office products; strong written, oral, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skill; and the ability to work in a team environment with the desire to make a contribution to the company.

Southern Company is a Fortune 500 company and a gas and electric utility holding company based in Atlanta, Georgia. The company was founded in 1945 and serves serves 9 million gas and electric utility customers in nine states. The company is currently the second largest utility company in the U.S., in terms of customer base.

The location is usually in GEORGIA.
