American Airlines Engineering Co-op Program
American Airlines Engineering Co-op Program is open to college students pursuing degrees in the engineering and aviation fields. Candidates must have completed their sophomore year or approximately 60 hours towards a Bachelor degree.
Candidates include students with majors in the areas of Engineering, including Aeronautical/Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Metallurgical and Civil Engineering. Positions are offered at several locations with a work commitment of 6-7-months, either January-August or June-December. A GPA of 2.5 or above is required.
Interns are assigned a mentor who guides them through the internship. Interns will work as entry-level engineers within various departments. They will learn much about aircraft systems, structures, interiors, avionics, and inflight entertainment maintenance programs, as well as repair and maintenance of turbine engines and components.
