Tavis Smiley Internship Program is a diversity-focused program for college students who want to pursue a career in broadcasting. Internships are offered in publicity, event production, media archives, and radio journalism.

Interns will be paid for 12 weeks and be required to work 15-20 hours per week during the internship. Candidates must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university and major in the internship area for which they are applying. They must also obtain course credit for the internship.
This is an exciting opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in broadcasting by working for a popular broadcast and print media company owned by Tavis Smiley, host of The Tavis Smiley Show, entrepreneur, author and philanthropist. Interns will work at the company's state-of-the-art corporate headquarters that includes a fully equipped conference room and a radio broadcast studio.

The Smiley Group is the holding company for Tavis Smiley enterprises that include broadcast and print media, lectures, symposiums, and the Internet. The company was founded in 2004 and is located in Los Angeles, California.

The location is usually in CALIFORNIA.
