The Angela Wilkins Residency-Based Graduate Intern Program
Carroll School, located in Lincoln and Waltham, MA, is a 1st-9th grade school, which empowers children with language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, to become academically skilled students who are strong self-advocates and confident lifelong learners prepared to enter other academic settings.
Educational research supports our belief that effective instruction from highly skilled teachers affects student performance and is the key to lessening the impact of a language disability. This belief lead us to partner with Lesley University to create a residency-based master’s degree program which provides a strong experiential internship.
Supported by incredible mentors and integrating theory with practice in both general and special education schools makes this graduate program unique. Through this 14-month intensive program, graduate interns will spend a full school year in up to two classrooms and will graduate with a master’s degree (M.Ed.) in moderate disabilities and Massachusetts initial teaching license.
The location is usually in MASSACHUSETTS.
