National Building Museum Internship
National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. offer internship programs for college students in the Fall, Spring and Summer. Internships are open to both undergraduate and graduate students interested in museum work.
Students must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a U.S. accredited college or university. Internships require students to work 15-40 hours, 3 days per week. Students must have computer experience including knowledge of Microsoft Office products, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and preferably some experience either in an office or non-profit environment.
Other skills specific to the position will vary according to the job. Positions are available in collections management, marketing, public relations, social media, and more.
The National Building Museum houses displays and exhibitions pertaining to American history in architecture, engineering and design. The Museum was chartered by U.S. Congress in 1980 and is an independent non-profit organization funded by contributions from visitors, foundations, associations, corporations, and other private donors.
