U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Internships
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Internships offer college students real world experience within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Interns will have a unique opportunity to serve the nation's veterans in many different ways and within their chosen field.
More than 300 internship positions in 199 different cities across the country are offered within the VA Department. Positions are offered within the VA's central office, health administration, administration, and national cemetery administration. Eligible students must be attending an accredited 4-year college or university, community college, professional, technical, vocational, and trade school, and can be either an undergraduate or graduate student.
Interns may work either full-time or part-time and may be hired on a temporary basis for up to one year or for an indefinite period of time. Many students will have an opportunity to be hired as a full-time, permanent employee after completing their internships and following graduation.
