Humana Internships are offered to both undergraduate and graduate students. Opportunities are available in accounting, information technology, and in the field of insurance.

Internships are 10-12 weeks long and provide students with hands-on experience in their chosen field. Students must be majoring in the internship area; students wanting an actuary experience should major in business. Internships are full-time work programs; some may include additional opportunities to work part-time during the school year.


Internships include a combination of classroom-based education along with one-on-one guidance and leadership training from company leaders. It is Humana's desire to invest in students who are interested in joining the company following graduation as full-time associates.

Humana, founded in Louisville, Kentucky in 1961, is a managed health care company that markets and administers health insurance in the United States. They are a for-profit Fortune 500 company.
