Smithsonian Science Education Center Internship Program and Jobs
Smithsonian Science Education Center Internship Program accepts high school students who are at least 16 years old, as well as current college undergraduate and graduate students. Internships for high school students are unpaid.

Internships are for 10 weeks during the summer. Students will learn about the Smithsonian, science, and the important role science plays in education. Internships are generally offered in the professional services, publications or finance and administration divisions.

Students may apply by submitting an online application and including a resume, writing sample, and three references from supervisors, teachers, or professors who have knowledge of students either from the classroom or in the workplace. Applicants should have Internet and Microsoft Office skills.

The Smithsonian Science Education Center is located in Washington, D.C. just one block from the National Mall and the Smithsonian museums. The center fosters science awareness and education among students grades K-12 and teachers.
