National Park Service Internships
The park is located at the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers in the states of West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia. It contains museums, exhibits and 4,000 acres of park. This provides many opportunities for students, history buffs, naturalists, teachers and others to find an internship that fits their interests.
Internship positions are available in social media web management, curatorial and museum services, education/programs, history talks and tours (in costume), natural resources (outdoor), and visitor services.
What's the difference between internships and externships?
The internships are 12 weeks long. Applicants may submit their interest online and include a cover letter, resume and three letters of reference. Each position has its own requirements for skills necessary in order to apply.
