The AAAS Minority Science Writers Internship and Jobs
The AAAS Minority Science Writers Internship is a summer program for minority students interested in a career in journalism. It is a paid internship for minority undergraduate college students.

The internship is 10 weeks in length and takes place in Washington, D.C. from June to the middle of August. Qualified students must be minorities attending an accredited college or university and majoring in journalism. Students must have a strong interest in writing about science.


Interns will work with award-winning reporters and editors at AAAS Science magazine main office in Washington, D.C. Students will use their writing skills to contribute weekly articles and also learn first-hand what to expect in a journalism career that focuses in the area of science and technology.

The internship is offer through the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), a non-profit organization dedicated to "advance science, engineering, and innovation throughout the world for the benefit of all people."
