William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship for Minority Students

William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship for Minority Students and Jobs
The Aspen Institute Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation (PSI) in Washington, DC, offers the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship three times a year in the Fall, Spring and Summer. As a Hearst Fellow, interns will work 12-15 hours a week in the social sector. This fellowship is open to minority undergraduate or graduate students.

Interns are paid a stipend to work at the Aspen Institute office. Here they will learn more about public programs, including non-profit, philanthropy and other social programs. Their work will involve research, writing, logistical, and administrative activities that support PSI. In addition to a stipend, students may also receive academic credit.

To qualify, students must be minorities with financial need. They must have a strong interest in working in nonprofit or other social organizations. Applicants are required to have excellent writing skills and the ability to do research. Only U.S. citizens or permanent residents may apply.

The Aspen Institute is an educational organization that studies social organizations and their impact on change in society. Their goal is to advance social good at home and abroad through leadership development initiatives.
