A Forensic Nurse Examiner Apprentice, certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing, provides care to victims of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and child abuse. They assist in forensic examinations, obtaining consent, collecting evidence, and documenting injuries. Additionally, they collaborate with law enforcement and legal stakeholders, offer HIV prophylactic treatment, and engage in peer reviews and staff meetings.
