Amtrak Internship Programs are open to college students interested in learning more about the transportation industry. Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in an accredited college or university.



Candidates must have a GPA of 2.5 or above in order to apply. Summer internships may be available in finance, marketing, technical, legal, engineering, communications, and more.
Summer internships provide fulfilling work experiences with challenging and rewarding opportunities, competitive pay, and a high performance culture that recognizes and values intern contributions and helps them reach your career goals.



Required experience may vary with each internship position. Applicants will be required to major in an area related to the internship for which they are applying.



Amtrak is a passenger railroad service that provides medium- and long-distance intercity service in the contiguous United States. The company was founded in 1971 to take over most of the remaining U.S. passenger rail services. It is partially government funded yet operated and managed as a for-profit corporation. Amtrak is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
